Faraya

80 km of marked trails, culminating at an altitude of 1,850 to 2,465 metres, Faraya Mountain offers a breathtaking view. For a weekend visit or for a long stay on the heights of Mount Lebanon, Faraya is one of the best places to enjoy varied landscapes, rich in contrasts.

Created in 1960 by a group of passionate Lebanese skiers, Faraya resort is the most famous in Lebanon. Covering an area of nearly 160,000 m², the resort is a place of reference for the Lebanese jet set, with its unique ski lift and its four chalets.

Famous for its neighbourhood, particularly the ski resorts which are very busy during the high season, the village of Faraya also has many amenities to make the most of a pleasant stay in a cool and sunny climate.

This locality stands out for its many stone chalets with orange roofs. It is also the ideal place to discover the artificial lake of the Chabrouh dam, located upstream.

A real natural curiosity, nestled in the heart of mountainous rocks, this place can be explored (only) on foot, in less than 20 minutes.

The loop starts from Kfardébiane, passes by Faraya, Faqra and Baskinta. A real route combining an exceptional archaeological discovery, a visit to religious sites and an escape in natural areas suitable for hiking.

Faraya is also the opportunity to see the impressive statue of Saint Charbel.
